List of echoic targets for children in speech therapy. Common early learning in ABA and Speech

Starting Out With Echoics

The Early 8 Phonemes

These are common sounds that are data driven to be excellent targets for early learners working on acquiring new sounds or perfecting known echoics.

How to Start

Screenshot or download a copy of this matrix and highlight the sounds the child will repeat. Slowly branch out and approach sounds that are difficult. For sounds that are difficult, make certain to provide plenty of high quality reinforcement.
